Official Countdown has started

It’s a good start to the weekend…

I received confirmation today that our stuff will arrive in the UK next week, and I just received confirmation that my Visa is approved and heading back to me!

all-in-all… a good Friday.

Yes… this is my backyard. And yes… this same thing happened the day the house was being packed up to move. This video was taken 26 Sept, but it was a re-enactment of the flooding from the week before as the movers were pulling of of the neighborhood with everything we own packed in a crate.

How much fun can one person have within a week’s span? Well I pretty much found out between the days of the 18th and the 26th (and I can tell you, it wasn’t a helluva lot of fun). But… I survived. Moving on to bigger and better (and dryer) things.

The packers have come and gone…. nothing is left but an empty house with a broken green couch, an air mattress and some smelly dog beds.

Packing went smoothly. Loading the truck was not a problem. Even the dogs cooperated! All in all, it was a successful move. That is, until the weather turned ugly and the basement flooded in the middle of the move. Nothing is ever easy… what fun would that be??
